Catalina Island sleepovers
for the first time

With my grandparents and second cousins growing up on Catalina Island, I knew I wanted to sail one of our moons twenty-six miles across the sea and have it be gloriously seen inside the Ballroom. I first stepped foot inside the ballroom in 2005 for the Avalon Ball and it was the dreamiest experience. I remember hearing the distinct echo's of the big band music playing as I walked up the notorious hallways. Fast forward to 2019 when we setup our moon for a glamorous 1930s wedding published in 100 Layer Cake , but also this year for the Historic Catalina Casino Sleepovers. -Victoria Smith
